The Arts Council of Ladysmith and District values and encourages collaboration with our business community, local government, and fellow non-profit organizations to help preserve and promote the arts in Ladysmith. Sponsors support specific exhibitions, educational programs, and major events such as our Fine Arts Show and the Arts on the Avenue Festival. Your sponsorship enables the Arts Council of Ladysmith and District to deliver meaningful cultural experiences, raise awareness of Ladysmith as a town that values the arts, and provide direct support to local artists.
Funders contribute through donations that may be directed toward particular exhibitions or events, or applied to general gallery programming. Funding opportunities also include hosting an event at the Gallery, helping to further strengthen community connections through the arts.
What We Do
Ladysmith Gallery
The Ladysmith Gallery is a vibrant community hub showcasing local and regional artists year-round. Our programs include:

Biennial Juried Fine Art Show
Next scheduled for 2027, this juried exhibition celebrates excellence in fine art and attracts artists and visitors from across the region.
Arts on the Avenue Festival

- Attendance: Approximately 6,000 visitors annually
Arts on the Avenue is our signature outdoor arts festival, bringing together artists, performers, and the community for a full day of creativity and celebration.

We believe art should be accessible to everyone. Our programs include:
- Art classes for all ages and abilities, including First Nations youth
- Drop-in art groups
- Community art projects
- Art Bombs (over 1,000 children participating)

We offer art classes throughout the year, employing local artists and educators. We believe cost should never be a barrier to participation.
